In 2008, POD’s President & CEO, Samantha Lapin, was named one of New Mexico Information Technology and Software Association’s (NMITSA) “2008 Women In Technology” recognizing the contributions and achievements of women in New Mexico's technology industry.
In 2007, POD was awarded the prestigious 2007 NMITSA IT Excellence Award for Best Custom Software Solution--an online Operating Budget Management System (OBMS) for the New Mexico Public Education Department.
Working closely with the Department’s Budget Director and staff, POD designed and developed the OBMS, which is currently being considered for adoption by other states. The states can incorporate it into their budget systems technology at no cost, since the development of OBMS was funded by the State of New Mexico, and now the OBMS system has become part of the public domain.
